This Privacy Policy explains how Voyya ("we", "our", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1) Information We Collect

Account & Profile

  • Email address
  • Username and display name
  • Profile photo (if you upload one)
  • Optional bio

Check-ins & Content

  • Check-in photos (if you upload them)
  • Check-in data (country, city, dates, and related metadata you provide)

Image Metadata (Optional)

If a photo contains location metadata (EXIF), the app may read it to improve the experience (e.g., prefill location).

Technical & Usage

Device and app information necessary to operate the service (e.g., app version, error logs).

2) Permissions We Use

  • Camera: to take photos for avatar and check-ins.
  • Photo Library: to select existing images.
  • File Access: to process and upload selected images.

You can deny permissions in system settings; some features may not work.

3) How We Use Information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Display your profile and check-ins in the app.
  • Provide search and filtering features.
  • Maintain app security and prevent abuse.
  • Improve stability and performance.

4) Authentication

Voyya uses Supabase Auth. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic account info from Google to create your account.

5) Storage & Processing

Voyya stores data with Supabase (database and storage). Images are stored in secure cloud storage. We use Expo SDKs to provide app functionality.

6) Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers (e.g., Supabase, Expo) to operate the app.
  • Legal requirements if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

7) Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion at any time.

8) Data Deletion

9) Your Rights

10) Children's Privacy

Voyya is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction).
